What We Do With Your Data

We collect what we need to get your order to you and look after you afterwards, and nothing beyond that. We do not sell your personal information.

This page sets out what we hold, why we hold it, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions on any of it, email info@nenare.com.

Nenare is a trading name of KALIVERO LLC, registered at 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87110, United States. KALIVERO LLC is the data controller, and we process personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Updates to This Page

We revise this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. Changes are posted here, and where the law requires it we will notify you separately.

What We Collect

Things you tell us:

  • Name, email address and phone number
  • Delivery and billing addresses
  • What you ordered and what is in your basket
  • Anything you send customer service, including photos attached to a return request
  • Whether you have opted into marketing
  • Account login details, if you create one

Things collected automatically:

  • Device, browser and operating system
  • IP address and network details
  • Pages viewed, products clicked, time on site, where you arrived from
  • Cookie and pixel identifiers

Things from third parties: Shopify, which runs the store; payment providers, which handle the transaction and its fraud checks; and analytics and advertising partners, where you have consented.

What we never hold: your full card number. Card details go straight into our payment provider's systems and are handled entirely by them. We never see them.

Why We Use It, and Our Legal Basis

Running your order. Taking payment, packing, dispatching, sending confirmations and tracking, handling returns and refunds, answering support requests, maintaining your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you, and for the record-keeping side, legal obligation.

Marketing. Emails and texts, and advertising shown to you elsewhere. Legal basis: your consent. Withdraw it any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by replying STOP to a text. Withdrawing does not undo processing already carried out.

Fraud prevention. Screening orders and investigating suspicious activity. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.

Tax and accounting. Keeping the records HMRC requires. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Cookies

Cookies keep your basket working, remember your preferences, tell us how the store is being used and measure advertising.

Shopify. Strictly necessary. Keeps your session and basket alive, secures checkout, prevents fraud. Set automatically, because the site cannot function without it.

Google Analytics. Analytics. Counts visitors and shows us how people move through the store. Set only with your consent.

Google Ads and Google Tag. Advertising. Tells us whether an advert led to a sale and lets us show relevant adverts. Set only with your consent.

Meta Pixel. Advertising. Measures advert performance on Facebook and Instagram. Set only with your consent.

Email and SMS platform. Functional. Recognises you so we can send basket reminders and the marketing you signed up for. Set only with your consent.

Under UK law only strictly necessary cookies may be set without permission. Everything else waits for your consent through our cookie banner. Change or withdraw it any time through the cookie settings link in our footer or in your browser, though disabling essential cookies will break the site.

Who Else Sees It

We never sell your data. We share it with processors who need it to run the store on our behalf, under contracts limiting what they may do with it:

  • Shopify, which hosts the store and processes order data
  • Payment providers, which process transactions and run fraud checks
  • Carriers and fulfilment partners, which receive only the name and address needed to deliver
  • Email and SMS platforms, which send transactional and marketing messages
  • Analytics and advertising platforms including Google and Meta, where you have consented
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires disclosure

We may also share data in connection with a merger, acquisition or restructuring.

Data Leaving the UK

Some processors operate outside the United Kingdom, mainly in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where data leaves the UK we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner's Office, so it stays protected to UK standards.

How Long We Keep It

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years after the end of the relevant accounting period, as HMRC requires
  • Customer service correspondence: 3 years
  • Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, then suppressed rather than deleted so we do not contact you again
  • Analytics: kept in aggregated form

What You Can Ask For

Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to tell you what we hold and why, give you a copy, correct anything wrong, delete it where we have no overriding reason to keep it, restrict how we use it, hand it over in a portable format, or stop processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can object to direct marketing with no exceptions at all.

Email info@nenare.com with DATA REQUEST in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity first. We reply within one calendar month, free of charge.

Complaints

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Security

The site runs over encrypted HTTPS with a valid SSL certificate, and payment data is handled by PCI DSS compliant providers. Inside our team, access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and answer support.

No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee data transmitted over the internet. If you hold an account with us, keeping your login safe is your responsibility.

Other Sites

We sometimes link to third party websites. Their privacy practices are their own and we are not responsible for them. Read their policies before handing over anything personal.
